Kaimar Karu

Mr. Kaimar Karu is a Managing Partner at Mindbridge, a consultancy firm operating out of London and Tallinn, focusing on strategic advisory services and facilitating complex decision-making with the help of the Cynefin framework.

Kaimar has a diverse career background in Information Technology, having worked as a practitioner and a manager in Software Development, Technical Operations, Project and Programme Management, and IT Service Management. Before joining Mindbridge, Kaimar worked as the Head of Product Strategy and Development at AXELOS, where he kicked off and lead the improvement programmes for the IT Service Management framework ITIL and the project management method PRINCE2 after their privatisation in 2013. He is the lead author of ITIL Practitioner, published in 2016, and the author and co-author of several papers on DevOps and Kanban. Prior to accepting the challenge at AXELOS, Kaimar spent three years immersed in the world of startups, Nordic pragmatism, and multi-billion-dollar acquisitions, working with Skype in his native Estonia. Kaimar has a Master’s degree in Philosophy from the University of Tartu, where he focused on Epistemology, Philosophy of Language, and Experimental Philosophy, exploring the challenges with intuitions and expert knowledge. He has a passion for helping people learn and improve and has worked as a teacher, trainer, and coach in schools, universities, and professional training organisations across Europe.
Although he’s now based in London, Kaimar travels a lot and can often be seen speaking at various events around the world or learning about the local food culture in one of his favourite destinations.
